The Wallflowers return after 7 years absence w/ new Mick Jones collaboration single

It’s been 7 years since been heard of The Wallflowers (their last album was 2005′s Rebel, Sweetheart), though the members have been keeping busy. Their frontman Jakob Dylan dropped two solo albums while keyboardist Rami Jaffee did a bunch of session work with Foo Fighters.
The band the first single, Reboot the Mission, from their sixth studio album Glad All Over which is features former The Clash member, Mick Jones.

Glad All Over, recorded in Nashville, is set for release on October 2, 2012. “It made sense to us to ask the mighty Mick Jones to partake,” says The Wallflowers frontman Jakob Dylan. Jones, The Clash's former lead guitarist, plays guitar and contributes vocals on the single.

Athough they remain best known for their 1996 breakthrough Bringing Down the Horse, an album that spawned hits including “One Headlight” and “6th Avenue Heartache.” They never got back to those heights, though their 2000 follow-up album (Breach) has several under-loved moments (including an atmospheric weeper called “Some Flowers Bloom Dead”).
